Almost there...
In the busy-ness of the holiday season, we have continued to work on the Cooper Young Cottage. Now we are to the clean up and complete phase, attending to details while enjoying the way this very small home has come together.
The new driveway worked out even better than expected. The new home owner will be able to park off street. We have fenced an area at the end of the driveway to make a small courtyard that is accessible from the kitchen--allowing the homeowner a secure outdoor living space.
When working with such limited space, the use of every inch has to be considered. Changing the floor plan has helped make the space feel bigger. Maybe it is the high ceilings, maybe it is the flow--people who have visited recently tell us that the house feels much larger than its 766 square feet
While I have loved working on each of the homes, this one seems like our best project to date. I feel we have hit the mark with both the kitchen and the bathroom renovations. We have preserved the homes quirky character while enabling it to function well. It will be perfect for someone who wants to have a home in the heart of Cooper Young that will require very little maintenance. It is like a tiny house plus. I am excited to get it on the market!
